There was a bookshop in Karaj not too long ago, and the proprietor possessed a collection of stamps from the First World War to the Qajar period and beyond. Today, this museum houses this priceless collection of two million stamps.
Plans for the museum's renovation and re-equipment started in 2014 and were finished in 2017. The arrangement of the Alborz Province Stamp Museum and Exhibition Center may be altered to accommodate different exhibitions because to its adaptable architecture.
The center features both temporary and permanent exhibits, and in the future, visitors will be able to purchase a variety of coins and postcards.
This museum holds around 2 million stamps from the Islamic Republic, the Qajar, the Pahlavi dynasty, and several other nations.
