Lahijan, nestled in the lush province of Gilan in northern Iran, is a picturesque city known for its tea plantations, verdant landscapes, and serene Caspian coastline.
Often called the "Bride of Gilan," Lahijan boasts attractions like Sheytan Kooh (Devil’s Mountain), with its scenic trails and cascading waterfalls, and the historic tea museum highlighting its role as Iran's tea production hub.
The city’s traditional architecture, featuring wooden houses with sloped roofs, complements its vibrant bazaars and cozy cafes, creating a harmonious blend of natural beauty and cultural richness.
Tea plantations are characterized by vast expanses of lush, green hills covered in neatly trimmed tea bushes arranged in uniform rows, creating a strikingly symmetrical landscape.
The rolling terrain, often set against misty mountains or open skies, provides a serene and picturesque view. Narrow pathways winding through the fields add to the charm, making the scene both functional for cultivation and visually captivating.
We summarized all these characteristics in the conception of form for this project. The rising curve slope of the ceiling with plantation on it is in harmony with surrounding hills and also is adapted with the traditional architecture of the region. The hotel also twisted around the vertical accesses lifts and stairs to catch the best view of Lahijan city.
