Soleymanie palace belongs to Qajar era in Karaj, Iran and today is located within the boundaries of school of agriculture in Karaj A brick building with no special decoration on the outside. The main building is constructed upon a basement unit which at the time was considered an innovation in design. To the east of this building a five-story tower was constructed which now only ruins of its ground floor remain. Soleymaniyeh Palace is notable for its unique paintings inside. Given that paintings were placed higher than eye level, and limitation in available space for display cabinets, combination of stairs and displays were designed.
We added café, restaurant, souvenir shop, and office building outside in the garden. There buildings are light and had no foundation in order to not interfere with historical building. We also designed Entrance from university and the second Entrance with ticket shop and Entrance corridor.
A delicate and fragile renovation requiring high precision surgical intervention.
