The design idea
This project was already designed and has a license in place. We were compelled by this problem to maintain a number of structural elements, including the columns, staircase, and elevator.
In order to give more comfort and privacy, we added several corridors to the design in an attempt to correct and improve it.
We also had some prescribed lines pushed from strategically placed columns on the façade. Thus, we worked aesthetically on the geometry and proportion of the façade after initially accepting the set criteria as the project’s requirement. Beginning with framing apertures and play with masses and voids, the basic idea was developed.
